Welcome to the city.
These rules exist for one reason: to keep Uncharted fun, fair and immersive for everyone in it. We run firm but forgiving — we'd rather coach you than ban you, but these rules are here so that good RP never gets ruined by bad behaviour.
If something isn't written here but you know it's wrong, don't do it. RP first, win second, and never be the reason someone else's night gets wrecked. When in doubt, ask a staff member.
01 General Conduct
- 18+ only. Uncharted is an adults-only community. No exceptions.
- Respect everyone out of character. No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, racism, sexism or homophobia — in game, in Discord, anywhere. This is a hard line.
- No OOC drama in the city. Got a problem with someone? Open a ticket — don't drag it into RP.
- No doxxing, threats, or sharing anyone's real-world info. Ever.
- Keep IC and OOC separate. What happens to your character isn't personal. Don't take in-character losses out on real people.
- ERP stays behind closed doors. Uncharted is 18+, so adult RP between consenting players is fine in private. Joke emotes — the bend-and-snap, a cheeky dance, fully clothed — are fine out in the open. Explicit sexual content in public view is not. Keep anything graphic private and consensual.
- Keep OOC talk behind closed doors too. Out-of-character chatter is fine in private, but don't break immersion with OOC in public IC spaces — police stations, hospitals, restaurants and other active areas. Use the proper channels when you need to go OOC.
- Cheating, hacking, modding or exploiting = instant permanent ban. This bypasses the strike system entirely. Found a bug? Report it — don't abuse it.
- Absolutely no suicide or self-harm roleplay.
- Absolutely no sexual assault roleplay, sexual harassment, or trafficking of any kind.
02 Core Roleplay Rules
These are the big five. Learn them.
- RDM (Random Deathmatch) — Killing or attacking another player without proper roleplay or a valid IC reason. You must build RP before violence.
- VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch) — Using your vehicle as a weapon without RP. No running people down for fun.
- Metagaming — Using out-of-character info (streams, Discord, who's behind a character) to influence in-character decisions. Your character only knows what they've learned in the city.
- Powergaming — Forcing actions on others with no chance to respond, using unrealistic abilities, or RPing things your character couldn't actually do. Give people a fair shot to react.
- FailRP — Breaking immersion or acting in ways that make no sense IC (driving a supercar off a cliff for no reason, ignoring injuries, treating death like a game). Stay in character, stay believable.
03 New Life Rule (NLR)
What you remember depends on how you go down.
◉ Memory kept
On your side — downed, not dead. You're injured but can be revived. You keep your memory and can recall the full interaction, including who did this to you.
✕ Memory wiped
On your back — death and respawn. Your character dies and respawns at the hospital. You forget everything from the past 30 minutes — who killed you, why, all of it. You cannot seek revenge for that life.
After a death you can't remember, don't return to the scene for 15 minutes. New life, fresh start.
04 Value of Life & Fear RP
Your character values their life like a real person would. If someone has a gun to your head, you act scared — you comply, you negotiate, you don't suddenly turn into an action hero. Don't initiate fights you'd never realistically start, and don't act fearless when the situation calls for fear.
05 Combat Logging
Logging out — or "conveniently" disconnecting — to escape an active scene, a robbery, an arrest or consequences is never allowed. If you genuinely crash, get back in and return to the scene as soon as you can.
06 Safe Zones
- Green zones are no-crime areas. Pillbox Hill Medical Center and all hospitals are green zones — absolutely no crime, violence, robbing, kidnapping or hostile RP of any kind.
- Police stations and the main spawn / legal job centres are also treated as safe zones. These areas are for resets and peaceful RP only.
- New arrivals get spawn protection. Main spawn points are green zones for 10 minutes after a player flies into the city — no robbing, attacking, or initiating hostile RP against someone during that window. It's there to let people get settled, not to bait others or dodge active RP.
07 Gangs & Criminal Activity
- Crews must be registered and approved by staff before operating as an official gang.
- All crime requires roleplay. Robberies, kidnappings and hits must be initiated with proper RP — no silent gunfire.
- No pocket-wiping. When you rob someone, leave them at least food and drink — don't strip them of everything they own.
- Never rob EMS. Medics are completely off-limits for robberies.
- Robbing cops = PD equipment only. You may only take police gear — weapons, ammo, armour and similar PD equipment. Leave their personal belongings alone.
- Major crimes require a minimum of 3 police officers online to begin (bank heists, store robberies). This keeps the risk real and gives PD a fair chance to respond.
- Hostage RP. Hostages must be valued and given realistic RP. Don't take more than you can manage, and demands must be reasonable. Friends cannot be taken as hostages, and gangs cannot take other gang members hostage either — hostage situations must involve genuine, non-complicit targets, not staged setups with someone who's in on it.
- No cop-baiting. Don't commit crimes purely to lure police into a gunfight.
- No spawn killing or safe-zone crime. (See Safe Zones.)
- Drive-bys are restricted. Only allowed during active gang beef or declared wartime — never on civilians or outside an established gang conflict.
- Territory disputes are settled with RP, not just bullets. Build the story.
08 Police
- Police are players too — respect the role while keeping the RP immersive.
- No randomly killing police. Executing officers without heavy RP justification is not allowed.
- Corruption RP (dirty cops, bribery) requires staff approval.
09 EMS / Medical
- On-duty EMS are protected. Medics may not be killed, maimed or downed while actively on duty. They're here to keep the city alive — leave them out of the crossfire.
- EMS are neutral. Don't rob, harm or take medics hostage while they're working a scene without a strong, pre-established RP reason — and never interfere with active revives.
- Respect downed-player RP. If you're down, RP your injuries honestly. If you're reviving, you're there to provide medical RP — not to gather intel or grab loot.
- Treatment flow. EMS stabilise patients on scene, then transport them to Pillbox to finish treatment. Exception: a mass-casualty scene with 5+ patients (subject to change) may be fully treated on scene.
10 Streaming & Recording
- Streaming is welcome and encouraged — show the city off! Just represent Uncharted well.
- Submit a streamer application before you stream. Once you're approved, we'll add you to our Live Now feature so the community can find and support your stream.
- No stream sniping. Using someone's live stream to track or target their character is metagaming and is not allowed.
- No OOC toxicity, slurs, or trashing the community on stream. You represent us when you're live.
- Clips used as evidence in reports must be unedited and show full context.
11 Discord & Community Conduct
- Keep it civil and on-topic. Use the right channels and read the room.
- No spam, no mass pings, no advertising other servers.
- Report issues the right way — open a support/report ticket with evidence (clips, screenshots, names). Don't air it in public channels.
- Never ping staff. Don't ping staff in Discord for any reason — open a ticket and someone will get to you.
12 Strikes & Enforcement
Uncharted runs a 3-strike system for most rule breaks.
Warning
A formal heads-up and coaching on what went wrong.
Final warning
Last chance, often with a short ban or RP suspension.
Permanent ban
You're out.
Immediate ban for: cheating or hacking, hate speech, doxxing, real-world threats, and ban evasion.
Strikes may expire after 60 days of clean standing. Staff decisions are final in the moment but can be appealed. Don't argue rulings in-game — take it to a ticket.
13 Appeals
Think a ruling was wrong? Open an appeal ticket in #appeals with your name, what happened, and any evidence. Stay respectful — appeals are reviewed by senior staff, and a calm, honest case goes a long way.
They may be updated as the city grows — check back often. Now get out there and make your story.
Come and put them to use.
Join the Discord, send an application, and we'll get you into the city.
